The Lansing Financial Health Team met for the first time Thursday morning to address inefficiencies in the city government and its budget.
Local news sources reported that the team discussed new ways to approach the funding of city services, which has experienced a drop as tax revenues declined.
Mayor Virg Bernero organized the 16-member group at the beginning of September and appointed former Lansing Mayor David Hollister as its chair.
The team will meet again Oct. 11 at 7:30 a.m. at the R.E. Olds Museum in Lansing.
